Jake Stangle is a West Coast photographer with a passion for Karaoke. As both a commercial and documentary photographer Jake’s body of work seems to capture the essence of the subject with a hint of humor. Worth checking out his series of environment images.
Chris Searl is a very talented man. Not only is he a founding partner, co-Editor and Photographer for one of Australia’s leading cultural art / design magazines Monster Children, he happens to be a mighty fine director. Chris’ work is definable worth checking out as well as his short films. Also as a side note take a look at Matthew Woodward who designed the site.
Custodians of fine Glasgow design Atalanta‘s work is simply elegant, understated and utterly intelligent. If white space and good campaign design floats your boat – give these boys some of your time.

Where graphic design meets art. Somewhere in the middle you’ll find Paris’s Studio Plastac. Their work is a crescendo of bold colours, geometric profiles and hand drawn forms. Lovely stuff.

A mainstay of our Thursday lunchtimes for almost as long as we’ve been holding a pencil, we were sorry to hear this week the end is nigh for print editions of Design Week after 25 years. The publication will instead focus its online presence.
For us, its indicative of the times and was perhaps somewhat an inevitable move. It’s a real shame though, there’s nothing like flicking through the pages over a lunchtime and sharing a particular article round the office for debate and comment.
Onwards and upwards though DW.
