Studio Build have teamed up once again with furniture and homewares designer/maker Matt Kelly to develop a simple identity system for their new affordable, self-assembly range.
Plaey Workshop are best known for creating beautiful bespoke commissions for art galleries, interiors and independent shops. Plaey initially worked with Studio Build’s to create a ‘simple, playful & modular’ personal identity.
Their latest range Everyday Plaey, is simple, affordable furniture for your everyday life. It’s the first self-assembly range from Plaey Workshop, influenced by mid-century modern values on the accessibility of designed pieces for the home.
Plaey worked closely with Studio Build, to collaboratively provide a framework and concept for the Everyday range. Studio Build developed the visuals to envelop the products, including a variant of the Plaey identity, graphic assets to explain the Everyday system, through to packaging stencils and assembly instructions.
This graphic system sits comfortably with the master Plaey brand, based around a more DIY/Self-assembly style. This DIY spirit manifests itself in a ‘Stencil’ version of the brand elements, logo/logotype, packaging stencil.
The collection is available in Blue, Yellow or Green in birch plywood, laminated plywood and valchromat.
